Week 9 Weight Loss Update and Arbonne Detox Update

May 09, 2015 by Scott Arrieta in Weight Loss Updates, Journey

Still feeling a little bit under the weather, but I've still been faithfully chugging along on my weight loss journey.

This week, I started the Arbonne 30 day detox. The idea here is that you cut out a bunch of stuff from your diet that are known to cause some kind of negative reaction in most people — sugar, gluten, coffee, dairy... basically everything that makes eating a worthwhile activity. ;)

It is, however, only designed to last for 30 days, and Arbonne supplies products to help fill the gaps for everything that you're required to take away from your diet. There are meal replacement shakes, healthy snacks, and even energy-producing fizz sticks (my favorite product of the lot) to attempt to ween off your coffee dependency.

The idea is that you flush the toxins out of your system for 30 days and then slowly reintroduce all the foods on the black list back into your diet and take note of whether or not you feel worse as a result. If you feel crappy, then you probably have a sensitivity and should cut the offending ingredient out of your diet as much as possible.

Sounds great, in theory.

In practice, I can tell you that it's extreme, but this stuff actually works!

This week I was on the detox program for only 2 days and lost 4 pounds! If you've been following along, that's my biggest loss yet in a week!

I'm now down to 359.8 pounds for a total of 24.6 total pounds lost in 9 weeks!

I'll check in with you guys again next week.
